I love Edward...no not Cullen.

Edward Norton is by far my favorite actor. Even though I have not loved all of the movies he has been in, I have loved his performance in each and everyone and The Painted Veil(2006) was no exception. This movie was about a married couple who travels to China after the husband finds out his wife has committed adultery. Walter, the husband [Edward Norton] is a bacteriologist and volunteers to go to China to attempt to stop a cholera epidemic. Edward Norton gave a great performance as usual, and so did Naomi Watts.

My favorite Edward Norton movie [other than Fight Club] is definitely American History X (1998). His portrayal of Derek Vinneyard in that movie is one of the most moving performances I have seen to date. The acting, writing, & directing of this film are all spectacular - it is hands down in my top 5 films of all time.

Dream a Little Dream

Yes it's that time again, for another scary movie night!

This was the first time I had ever seen the original A Nightmare on Elm Street all the way through. [Granted, the first time I watched it I was very young and got scared]. Anyway, I thought it was a pretty good scary movie. Freddy is by far one of the scariest movie characters ever. Plus 21 year-old Johnny Depp is just wonderful!

My sister came down last Saturday & we were finally able to watch The Step Father! This was actually a decent scary movie compared to others that have come out in the past couple years. Although the acting was not the greatest & I saw more of Amber Heard in a bikini than actual scary parts of the movie. I thought the story-line was good & kept you wondering what was going on!

In a Gerard Butler kind of mood.

Ok, granted, the first movie I watched tonight did not have Gerard Butler in it, but the other 2 did.

The Time Traveler's Wife was a touching movie about a man who travels through time and meets a young girl, who eventually becomes his wife. I liked this movie a lot, it was not something I'd seen before, I know this is based off of a book, but it was a refreshing, new movie. Rachel McAdam's did a great job - i love that she never plays the same character. Although her character in this movie was similar to her portrayal of Allie in The Notebook, I thought that she brought a different personality to Claire. Eric Bana also did a great job.

Gamer is a movie about a live-action video game where the characters are played by inmates of a state prison and if they survive 30 levels of the game, they are promised their freedom. This movie was not the greatest, the plot line was weak and there was a lot of unnecessary nudity. I thought that the actors did a good job, both Butler [as always] and Michael C. Hall. I will also admit that it had some pretty decent action scenes, especially the opening scene.

The last movie of the night was Law Abiding Citizen. I saw this movie in theaters and absolutely loved it! Although parts were predictable, I did not see the end coming. Butler did another fantastic job as the ruthless, vengeful husband/father and Jamie Foxx was wonderful. Parts of the movie were unbelievable, but let's face it - that's Hollywood.

Favorite Gerard Butler movie: Phantom of the Opera. Hands down. His singing voice = incredible.
